_Please read through the steps below before enrolling...
FIRST STEP: Enroll on-line, you will get a confirmation email not immediately, but shorty, I actually type the confirmation, it is not automated. This will only 'reserve' a spot until we receive payment and vet records.
SECOND STEP PART A: Forward necessary vet records (records must be received and all vaccines verified at least one week before start of class to keep your spot):
1. Proof of Rabies Vaccine (possible exception, puppies, may not be able to be given yet due to age or weight per vet)
2. Proof of regular shots (i.e. DHLPP or similar)
3. Proof of Bordetella Vaccine (also known as Kennel Cough vaccine) current within a year
4. Negative fecal float, current within a year (this might have to be written in by your vet, not always printed on records)
Can be mailed to PCTC, 555 Lincoln Lake Ave. S. E., Lowell, MI 49331 OR faxed to: 616.897.9692
SECOND STEP PART B:
Mail class fee (we accept check or cash) to address above. When payment is received, your spot is 'confirmed'. Payment is needed 2 weeks before start of class, though exceptions can me made last minute, contact Liz (616.897.9694)
You will get a confirmation that materials were received and sent a reminder before class starts. Please do check you 'junk' or 'spam' mail filtering since our email sometimes ends up there.
Obedience Classes and any of our SPORTS classes: If you are a new student with Pawsitive Canine, we may invite you to bring your dog to a pre-class evaluation to get to know you and make sure your dog is ready for the challenges of an group classes.
We ask that you bring your dog to our obedience classes with a harness, Halti, Gentle Leader, or flat collar (as opposed to a prong or choke collar), a 4 or 6 foot leash<no chain material> (as opposed to a flexi or retractable-lead) and a lot of his/her favorite tiny, soft treats, no bigger than a pencil eraser (string cheese and hot dogs sprinkled with garlic seem to be a 'hit' with most dogs). Having treats the pooches DON'T have to chew, (smell and swallow:) work best in the training arena.
Any questions, call @ 616.897.9694, we will answer if we aren't out with the pooches or leave a message and we will call you back, promise;) We reserve the right to dismiss a handler/dog team from class if we observe any aggression or innappropriate behaviors on the training center grounds from the dog or human.
